New York City-based photographer Jacqueline Bates was born in Mount Kisco, New York, in 1981 and raised in Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004 and Master of Fine Arts in 2009, both in photography, from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In addition to taking pictures, Bates also works in magazine publishing as a photography editor.
